I like to attend every home inspection to be an intermediary between my clients and the inspector as well as to learn even more about spotting potential issues.
During the purchase and sale process, I believe that both communication and preparation are very important. I like to prepare my clients for any possible outcome and discuss potential issues before they arise.
Having a degree in horticulture helps me to identify potential problems with existing landscaping. For example, trees may be planted too close to the house causing foundation or plumbing issues; plants may be climbing on or too close to your house causing leaks and/or rodent infestations. I can also tell you if trees and shrubs may cause issues in years to come.
Also, remodeling my own house with minimal help allowed me to learn valuable knowledge about construction, design, and maintenance.
As a previously licensed loan officer with extensive knowledge of lending, I can better explain the process to my clients and make sure the loan officer is handling our transaction in a professional and timely manner, and manage the timetable with all the institutions involved.
Foreclosures and Short Sales
Many agents will not work with buyers to purchase foreclosures and short sales. Working with banks is often a challenge, but the rewards can be fantastic. Since my only goal is to get you the home of your dreams, I’ve helped close several foreclosures and short sales for past clients.
